ccawker Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 So i used wood glue to go over the joints and side braces and i heard if you put a little insulation across the back it would tighten things up a bit more.....any comments on this or should i just leave it and enjoy? Quote

Do you mean weather stripping to seal the back panel or damping material? Bill Quote
Coytee Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I read your title as insulting, not insulating...made me chuckle... Regarding insulation My understanding from Roy (at Klipsch), "if we feel a speaker needs insulation we add it....if we don't....we don't" So, if the Heresy doesn't have any, then I'm guessing your gains would be very little if you added it. 1 Quote

EJC Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Bob Crites is in agreement with the above comment from Klipsch. Heresys don't need insulation just a good seal. That's what I did then I did a full rebuild on a pair of Heresys last year 1 Quote
