Jubilees in DFW/Sherman area

The tweeter horn is a JBL 2360.

I had one for a short time as part of a trade/deal. The driver (2446) is a great driver. The horn however is not very good.

The bass bins could be useful for a project, but too far away for me.

YMMV

I like that horn coupled with the EV DH1A driver.

I am confident that the problem was the horn and not the driver.

If you are determined to use the JBL 2360 horn, then set your crossover point fairly high.

Compared to a K-402, maybe, but I have curves that beg to differ with you, as well as prior ownership with a proper Xover.  It's the closest thing one can ever get to Roy's masterpiece. YBTW, ou can't use that horn/driver with a AA network and expect to get good sound. It's a CD horn that needs shelving above 3 Khz. with an Active Xover (or a darn good passive).

I am glad that you had good luck with the JBL horn.

My experience was different, and yes I do understand how to set up a CD horn ...

Hi Preston Tom. Sorry about my confusing comment. When I said "you can't use that horn/driver with AA.........." I wasn't referring to you, but THE ORIGINAL AD on Craigslist, and speaking generically about the AA network. My response was sparked by your comment, but not it's content, necessarily.  I'm sure you DO know what you are doing and  I agree with your assessment of the JBL horn otherwise. It needs PEQ below 700 Hz. It does, however, have remarkable dispersion at 8 Khz., but then, so does the K-402.
