bradymartin
i found a couple id like from amazon. one is 18 and the other is 24. is 18 too low? not sure if its better to have tweeter slightly lower or slightly higher than ear level.
willland
I think 18" is too low under most conditions but considering the RP160M has a slight upward tilt you may be able to get away with it. I prefer 24". Bill
pzannucci
18" is pretty low unless you are sitting very far back.
bradymartin
well i found these two stands cant decide. one is 24 and the other 36 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00133VWRS/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AHF4SYKP09WBH https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AX85CW/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AHF4SYKP09WBH

At this height, my ears are perfectly aligned with the tweeters while sitting on my sofa. With the 24 inch stands, the RP-160m's tweeters will be at or near 37 inches also. IMO, two reasons to go with 24" over 36". One because I think the 24" would be perfect height and because the 36" could tip over much easier than the 24". bradymartin
hmm i thought 24 might be too short. was looking at something in the 30 or 31 height. maybe i should go for the 24s then
YK Thom
The 24s would be your best bet. I use 24s with my RB 61s. Perfect height.
bradymartin
ok. i changed my mind about these stands though. i guess i wanted to match the cherry 160s. any recommendation for stands half the price? i dont feel good about paying $100 for stands just because they are in cherry. IMO, that price for such sturdy looking stands is pretty good.
