ThomasD.
Looking at 2 pairs of KG-1’s up here on C-list for $200. Pics look like they are in nice shape. All grills & tags intact. Can the X/O’s be improved? Any ‘Crites’ kits or equal available for these. Alaska doesn’t have too many good vintage speaks come available. Just don’t know much about the KG-1’s other than they were obviously a 2-way bookshelf design. Thanks
jjptkd
They're ok but $200 seems like too much to me and not sure I'd put too much money into them, the Crites titanium tweeters will fit though.
JohnA
$200 for 4 doesn't sound bad. I doubt they need modification, but new capacitors would be a good idea.
ThomasD.
Didn't think $50 for each speaker was too bad. Caps are easy enough to replace. The Titanium tweets are interchangeable huh? Are the KG-1's a real wood veneer? Looking for some vintage bookshelfs with a high sensitivity (>92db) even though the KG-1's were only 89 or 90 I believe.
