I tried a PrimaLuna with KT150 tubes for some days. It was really good. Very close to my LM218 SET, but lacked the SET-amps magic midrange. Shakeydeal Posted July 12, 2018 Share Posted July 12, 2018 I compared my 518ia to a Cary SLI-80 and it wasn't even close. The Cary sounded slow and sluggish. The LM sounded much more powerful and dynamic. I really had high hopes for the Cary, but came away disappointed. The combo sounded amazing with my heresy III, but I crave the lower bass.
