Schu
I am wondering how much a Klipschorn will loose if NOT sealed in a corner? I am its partly a function of how close to the corner the speaker sits, but has anyone done measurements to confirm just how much bass extension is lost? Deang
Drops off rapidly after 100Hz.
JJkizak
The effect is drastic if about two feet or more out from the corner without 4 foot corner boards attached. JJK
PrestonTom
Dean mentioned the big problem. A secondary problem is that there is also a few dB attenuation in the 300-400Hz range. It was this problem (that is not fully understood) that caused Klipsch to include the rubber gasket on the back/rear of the bass bin. This gave a tight seal and minimized the loss.
