Are these a special model of K-Horn? I'm picking them up Sunday.

Decorators would make sense.  The top hats and side grills are not Klipsch, nor the front moulding.  As long as the guts are Klipsch and the top hats are very reinforced since I always thought even the 3/4" top hats (those look thinner) lent a woody sound to K-horns, you should be happy.

I’m pleased, but not surprised.  After you get them hooked up,  I’d like to check them out and then treat you to lunch at the Laundry to compensate you for the angst I caused.  Send a PM to exchange phone #s and email.

I'll definitely get in touch!  I'm a worry wart by nature - so that rears its ugly head at times... Not too much angst, no worries!!   The buddy I'm getting them from knows his stuff so I shouldn't have worried...

OK Neil, you were right.  :emotion-19:

I'm not your wife, I can say that.

@Escher great score!  One minor correction is the label (in great shape BTW) had the letter D in the S/N.  Those are from 1965.

Are you familiar with the updates needed for Klipschorns from that era?  They have oil filled capacitors which can leak.  That can be easily and inexpensively updated.

I had planned on new crossovers regardless - but good point - I know those old oil filled caps are not a good thing.

Here are some pics of the crossovers - He snapped a few last night..

It's fun looking at Khorns from that era.  I had not seen many.  I track Heritage prices and yours is only the 9th one I've seen in two years.

The white wire with the red dashes are OEM I'm not sure if that fuse is standard, the wires look different.

FYI the FB in the Model stands for Fir Black Lacquer.  My note says "late model only" but I don't know what that means.

I'm wondering if that fuse is for tweeter protection?

Yea it will blow after the tweeter to tell you "Your tweeter is blown":)

But seriously just get some better tweeters. Awesome score.
