Carli56
I just purchased the rp-440 center. I noticed the outside woofers do not carry much of a signal. Do these outside woofers 'fire' on a lower frequency than the inside set of woofers, or are all 4 woofers using the same frequency and therefore should all be producing the same sound? Thanks for any feedback. Carli56
willland
@Carli56, Welcome to the forum. CROSSOVER FREQUENCY 500Hz/1500Hz I am almost certain that the RP-440C has the same type of "tapered array" design like my RC-64. Which is essentially a 2.5 way speaker. From the specs above, all 4 woofers are active up to 500Hz and only 2 up to 1500Hz. Which 2 woofers I am not sure. Bill
Carli56
Thank you Bill. That must be why they do not produce the same sound. The two outside woofers seem to fire at the lower frequency.
