Cambridge CX: PULLED!

Got all this in August and November of 2016.

Since then less than 500 hours on it.

I'm not a young-in:sad: that cranks it up all day, or all night! The old rig did that!

I've got all the double boxed factory packaging, the "jumper" wires and three CX series remotes.

There is an Android and IOS app that allows control when the units are connected with the "jumpers".

Using the CXN as the preamp, connected with balanced XLRs each channel goes through it's own pair of Wolfson WM8740 DACs set-up in dual differential configuration.... very nice with a completely quiet background.

The CXA80 has symmetrical and separate transformer taps for the left and right channels, twin rectifiers and separate PSUs.

Exceptional channel separation, stereo imaging and truly lifelike timbre.

The CXC has all digital outputs and has the same servo used in their flagship 851C CD player.

It does nothing but read the disc and send the data to the DACs in the CXN.

These are in excellent condition, like new, the British flag stickers reside on the backsides now. All three have a low resonance, acoustically-dampened metal chassis to eliminate as much vibration as possible.

I've run Heresy IIs and Forte IIIs off of this and it's remarkable with the "Klipsch Sound".

I use the tone bypass with the Forte IIIs, running the A output to the HF, the B to the bass.

The warmth compares to what my old Nakamichi SR3A (Nelson Pass designed) did with the Heresys!

It's not been two weeks but there has been zero interest in the components.

I'd already dropped the price below what this stuff is worth to me so I'll keep `em.

Now if someone does make a realistic offer I might take it, but no promises just yet.

Timing is everything, and besides, you don't know that someone isn't sitting at home agonizing over getting them.

That's how I got my Marantz 6011.  It went up on the Garage Sale, and I didn't need it and I couldn't use all the features it had.  But I couldn't help thinking about the great deal it was.

I waited a week hoping someone else would grab it, but no one did.  I finally gave in and bought it.  It's now the centerpiece of my living room setup.  What can I say?  I'm weak.

You put those back up in a month.  I bet someone grabs them.  😎

Wow,

I thought it was a great deal.......you got to give it time.....some of us need to sell some of our S..t....in order to buy your S..t.... I thought about it the other day....to sell both my Sansui sets to buy something more modern......You are selling a great setup....keep it out there and keep your options open

George,

Dave, you and George are right! Y'all know that!

Wondering about how even lower than 38hz could be for me, I'll be experimenting with a sub next week in a 2.1 setup.

Seeing the asking price, realized I'd regret letting these go for that.
