Shakeydeal
3v input sensitivity? Did I read that right? You must have had a helluva preamp in front of it. Shakey

Shakey I have a diy Nelson Pass designed BOSOZ balanced pre-amp. The S-30 was measured at 2.83v input by soundstage.com It does a shining job and I'm pretty certain i'll have that pre forever. That being said, I wouldn't recommend a passive pre for this amp. I've had it going with a lower voltage output pre before and it sounded great, just didn't get the full 30-45 watts of OTL POWAH. http://www.soundstage.com/revequip/atmasphere_s30mkiii.htm
