I hear patience is virtue. Rome was not built in a day. The watched pot never boils. Haste makes waste. Fools leap in where angels measure twice cut once.

Good looking pile of wood, and to think it will sing to you one day. :emotion-29:

And from all the good things I read about these type bass bins with the big 402 horn, it might be the final step.

It would be unless you dance. :emotion-19:

Thanks - I need to go home and measure.  Not that I have the top end to go with something like this (yet) but its on my radar, always looking for the next step.  And from all the good things I read about these type bass bins with the big 402 horn, it might be the final step.

Lynnville is only 150 miles from me.  Once these are finished I wonder if I will be able to hear them from my basement in Birmingham.  I hope so.

Since Paul Wilbur Klipsch himself, once described ME as such (in front of Jim Hunter), it looks like DaveA and I have found a new "VICTIM." LOL.

Just a casual observation.. People who build speakers for a living have lots of time to..... wait for it......build speakers.:)

Didn't I hear someone say the smaller the room the bigger the horn you need? Maybe not those exact words but close. Something about polars and room nodes.

Yes Chief Bonehead, something about the bigger horn controlling the room better.

No.  All you need is some white glue and packing tape, I've seen the video.

Well I have lots of wood screws and a gallon of glue. The top will be screwed on from the inside and the bottom will be screwed on from the outside. When flipped over I doubt they will ever be seen under the Duratex I am going to use.

"Glued and screwed" is my motto.

Agreed. I had a look at those thin wire like nails used by many and unless you had a ton of clamps to go with them don't see how they would hold anywhere what a screw would do while glue sets up.
