Mallette Posted July 15, 2018 Share Posted July 15, 2018 Having seen my name crop up as though I somehow accept Musk without question (which on tech matters I do), I researched his involvement. Yeah, he should not have made that remark. OTOH, he stopped work and put his best engineers to work to save these kids and it would have worked if the rains had not cooperated. Why one offhand remark suddenly gets the focus from so many the media doesn't like these days is rather sad. For some of us old timers who remember the great journalists of old it is more a commentary about the state of "journalism" than about the people who are vilified. Thai officials say it wasn't needed this time, but are glad to know it is there if needed in the future. You can bet it will be at some point.
