Bonzo Posted August 10, 2018 Share Posted August 10, 2018 I have a very nice and restored Sansui AU-5500 integrated amp. The work was done by a local tech that does excellent work. All electrolytics were replaced with Nichicon and Wima caps. Many other suspect components were replaced. I will include the old parts. It has had the thermal grease replaced on the output transistors. Thoroughly cleaned inside and out and all pots and switches got the Deoxit gig. Excellent condition cosmetically with just a couple scratches on the top. It still has most of the original RCA covers and original owners manual. A couple of nice features are two Aux inputs and has pre outs/main ins with the flip of a switch. It sounds great and works flawlessly. Sounds great with the Cornwall II’s. I have a few vintage pieces left out of everything I've sold off through the years including a Sansui AU-777 & TU-777 combo which look great. I'm hoping to be able to go through them in the next year or two and use them on occasion. Well, the amp anyway....I don't have much use for the tuner. GLWS.
