Endo
These horns measure 30 inches diameter at the rim of the bell. And I'm no expert, but given the folded design--the 28" overall length would seem to be an effective length of 7 feet (?). These have come up for sale locally, and I'm wondering if they have potential for use in my barn/shop for music and radio. Can anyone tell me what frequency range this size and shape horn is suited for? They currently are without drivers. As an aside, I am also wondering if they've potential as part of a 2-way music system, atop a bass bin? If this is true, I might want to pursue that. I realize they are not one of the more modern horn designs--and they will never compete with state-of-the-art equipment; but, I like old stuff... and these are just cool. I like 'em. Thanks, for any advice.
pzannucci
Limited Frequency response, notchy, and honky? Re-entrant horn? If cheap, give it a try. If not, hook them up before you buy to see for yourself.
Skelt
I would definitely bolt those to the back of my house so I could listen to some Joplin while cutting wood with a chainsaw.Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Edgar
I think I'd remove the inner portion, attach a 10" driver to what remains, and have myself a nice 145 Hz exponential midrange horn.
JohnA
You need the model number. Prolly this one: https://www.atlasied.com/dr-72 Deep ding on driver, 85 - 100 Hz to 4 - 6k. If the response is not too weird, you might get listenable music in garage. It will use a K-55-V/PD5-VH.
Edgar
Well, I took a SWAG at the cutoff; missed it by a bit. Still, one might make a useable horn out of the bell alone.
