JohnA
I have found an early H700 labeled H-HR-12. Might that be Hickory Raw? It doesn't look like hickory cabinets in the big box stores.
Budman
HR stands for Hard Rock Maple https://www.ebay.com/itm/KLIPSCH-HERESY-H700-SPEAKER/332743140862?hash=item4d790965fe:g:XYcAAOSwMMFbYiF3
mungkiman
My understanding is that ML was hard rock maple lacquer, and MO was hard rock maple oil.
JohnA
Not sure that is maple grain in the pics.

JohnA
This, posted by WMcD, would indicate H-HR-12 means unfinished Hard rock maple. I snagged the '68 H700 above. It appears to be only 2 or so years newer than the Model H data from Gil. It is only a year newer than my '67 H700. It will not be nearly as pretty, but it will do when driven by a Yamaha CR-820 for a cabin in the woods.
Frzninvt
Hard Rock Maple is an "H" only no "R" I had a pair of Hard Rock Maple vertical Cornwall's. That said the price sheet above shows Unfinished Hard Rock Maple as "HR"
