Rustydodger
What is the value of these excellent speakers, please? Cabinets are in great condition, the grills are a golden color. Fully functional. Thanks for your help! P. S. I know nothing about the age or model of them!
Moderators dtel's wife Posted September 2, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2018 You may want to post additional pics to show tops, fronts and sides of speakers. Our museum historian doesn’t assign value to speakers, but others here can certainly offer advice.
Rustydodger
If you have an email address I can send additional pictures. It only lets me download one at a time. This is the inside, I am likely the first to open the back since new. No leaks or corrosion on any nuts or piles. Let me know what else might help. jjptkd
Wow those look very old, probably some of the very first Heresy's ever made. Condition is everything when it comes to price is there any damage to cabinets? If you could post some more pictures at least a shot from the front maybe showing the tops as well so we can get an idea of what they look like. I've seen standard Heresy 1's sell anywhere from $300- $700 depending on condition and finish and so on not sure if these early models are worth any more from a collector / historical value? Rustydodger
I try to post more pictures but it keeps saying that I can’t upload more than 2mb. I found they are from early 1961! The cabinet shows just a little wear but nothing that takes from the value. Grills are not removable and are gold. Cabinet should be walnut. They are heavy! Rustydodger
I have currently listed the speakers on eBay: https://m.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-Model-H-speakers-vintage-1961-/153175169505
JRH
Shipped Feb. 12, 1961 and was probably the first in the new style (w/o cloth on the sides).
