Are the drivers all about the same depth? I have the EV DH1As, and was wondering if others are deeper insize.

I can't compare the Evs to my BMS, but my BMS are about twice as deep as my B&Cs.

For some reason I was under the impression that Roy had added a phase plug to the Celestion he uses. If he has while those will sound good they will not be the equal to what goes in the Jubes. I had a chance to hear 1132 drivers on 402's with original phase plugs and then then the new ones and there is pretty substantial improvement.

Are those black areas some sort of mumps?

... the wooden trim. Is that oak?

Yes, the shiny black areas are modified contours, similar to what are called mumps on other horns.

The wood trim is rosewood veneer. The bright flash for that picture makes the wood color appear lighter than normal.

The New Jubilee video shows an extension for the phase plug. That would be a significant improvement over the standard Celestion compression driver.

I was wondering when someone would make some mumps. Did you notice a difference with your mumps? How did you make and install them?

I have not done any test measurements yet, but they sound really good. The shiny finish was temporary, I much prefer the appearance as pictured at the top of this page.
