(KG4's) Sealing Cabinet Corners or Not

I'm going to open up my KG4's and do Crites recap kit's and titanium tweeter diaphragms. Since the cabinets are open would it be worth sealing all the internal corner joints ? With what material ? Read many places its best not to you silicone based sealers due to acidic off gas causing corrosion issues . What is the best thing to use to seal the drivers ?

Had a few sets and never had any leaky cabinets like other models, you can play a 25 Hz test tone through them and listen for leaks at the seams and around drivers and passives with a small vacuum or air line at your ear. Air escaping will be quite noticeable, repair where needed.

Use speaker gasket tape to seal drivers.

Don't overpower the drivers for the test, 3/16" or so of cone travel is plenty.

I like PVA. Any brand will do.

Non toxic, no smell, water based, dries clear, forms a bond with timber that is often stronger than MDF or particle board you've joined, fills gaps and is cheap as chips.

The bracing in my KG 5.5's is glued in with PVA.

I've built several subs using just PVA.   No screws or nails, just plain PVA.  👍
