I just bought a pair of nice cond Dixielanders and noticed the capacitor values on mine are two in parallel 12uf caps in each speaker does the other dixielanders know if this is the right value two 12uf in parallel thats 24uf on the blue woofer that i have i read some others having a 3uf cap Thankyou for your expertise. avguytx Posted October 23, 2018 Share Posted October 23, 2018 @kraig Most likely it was for no other reason than they had a surplus of the 12uf's to get the value they needed or maybe because the voltage capability on a single cap wasn't strong enough so they used two.
