I ended up dumping my iPhone and buying a new Android based phone. I have had mine for 2 plus years and its a great phone. Google-fi is the way to go. Works great for calls and data over wi-fi. My kids use it now for wifi calling, gave them a phone number on Skype and it still works well otherwise. Moved on to a Pixel XL about a year ago and it's even better than the 6P.
