Michael Mills
Hello. I have a pair model H loud speakers. Model H-D-12. The serial numbers are 348 and 349. They are signed by Portus Gilley and Lloyd McCallan. I would like to know any history concerning the speakers. Thank you. Michael.
JRH
Hi Michael. These shipped 9 March 1962. Original components were K-22 woofer, K55V squawker on K-1000 horn, and K77 tweeter.
JRH
BTW, Lloyd McClellan was Paul's first employee, and Portus Gilley was in the next 6.
Frzninvt
They were most likely built prior to '62 or else they would have had an "A" in the S/N.
JRH
The addition of the "A" to Heresy serial numbers did not occur until August 6, 1963.
Budman
Jim, my single Model H's serial number is 279 would this also be 1962 thanks, Russ
JRH
#279 shipped 11 Oct 1961. It was at least originally a "B" version which meant no mid or tweeter. The K-22 had a whizzer cone that sorta made it full range. The idea was to buy it as a starter model (cheap) and upgrade later with mid and tweet.
