I think the market for great condition LSii's on the secondary market is 2500 +/- 500'ish.

I know a lot of you guys are poo-pooing that $2500 price but I'm not so sure Schu is far off on this.

My spreadsheet says $2775.  That number is almost meaningless because I have very few samples, even fewer confirmed selling prices and the prices themselves are all over the place, $5200, $5400, 5200, all I've listed as "Not Yet Sold."  I do have one confirmed price of 2016 LS II's in excellent condition finish unk at $3500 sold Sept 2018.

CORRECT! They will take time to sell, but no way in hell most would get rid of a pair anywhere near that price I would be willing to bet.   My pair of Heresy Is in zebrawood I was selling, I was informed that $600 was a top dollar offer (half of what I was asking) .  I sold them for close to $1000.  Since then I have seen multiple pair in exotic finishes for a similar price point.   My point?   Just because you got lucky (no pun intended) and got a pair of LA scalas shipped for $2500 doesn't mean anyone else will get a deal like that.   You rarely see them come up for sale.   Supply and demand.

I'd never sell mine for that either.

BTW, I think I could get NOS LSii's for sub 5k.

I bought my 1977 LS's off STL's Craigslist last Fall local to me for $3000, and have NOT REGRETTED A THING!

And I literally fell into purchasing the McIntosh MC2015 Solid State amp at Alpha Tech here in STL when I went into their shop for something else and found one FOR SALE on a small display table that had out front! It REALLY FOLLOWED ME HOME! It wanted me! :-)
