newbie-nj
Klipsch community, I just ordered R-820F 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos home theater system for my finished basement and this has - 2 R-820F - 1 R-34C - 1 Pair of R-51M - 1 Pair of R-41SA - 1 Pair of R-120SW I am looking for a decent AVR that suits my system. I am running little tight on my budget. Also, need help on how to setup my home theater system - any documentation or links will be really helpful. Thanks, Anil
Kalifornian
Define "a little tight on my budget"? What price range are you looking to spend on a receiver?
baron167
Other than Dolby Atmos, what features are you looking for?
wvu80
Welcome to the Klipsch forums. If you are going new with a warranty try Accessories For Less. Many of us here have bought things from them and got reliable electronics at greatly reduced prices. https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/category/avreceiver/home-audio/receivers-amps/home-theater-receivers/1.html It looks to me like you need a 7.2 receiver that supports 2 Atmos modules. You can save money if you buy exactly what you need without buying extra channels you don't need. The other thing I would suggest is to buy last year's model. It's usually the same as this year's model without this year's latest and greatest feature which most people don't need. You are safe with Yamaha Adventage line, Pioneer Marantz and Denon. https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/denavrx3400h/denon-avr-x3400h-7.2-ch-x-105-watts-networking-a/v-receiver-w/heos/1.html#!specifications The Marantz 6012 would be outstanding if you could stretch the budget to $700. https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/category/avreceiver/home-audio/receivers-amps/home-theater-receivers/1.html?home_audio_key[]=100-120 Watts&brand_f[]=MARANTZ I have the Marantz 6011 9.2 AVR and I can recommend it highly if you can find it used. nitrofan
I'd definitely go with a year or two old top of the line avr over a brand new lower tier one. Love my denon avr4311ci. Went from a lower end onkyo to it. And yes I use a separate amp for the front lascalas and it was an improvement.
newbie-nj
@Kalifornian I am looking at a budget around $400 TO 500 - new avrs. @baron167 Other than Dolby, I am looking for futures like Ultra 4k HD @wvu80 thanks for the refernce links and suggestions on Denon and Marantz. newbie-nj
Also, want to know what is the minimum Watts output system I need to choose for my 5.1.2 sound system. just now noticed another one - https://www.amazon.com/Denon-AVRX1400H-Receiver-wireless-technology/dp/B06XYG978Z/ref=pd_rhf_dp_s_cp_1_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B06XYG978Z&pd_rd_r=b3613c47-477a-484d-b343-5d9997b89cfe&pd_rd_w=ox2zP&pd_rd_wg=7BZwe&psc=1&refRID=KNWJS9JQE3RMBGHXZF1Y will this be a good one too ? please help! Kalifornian
I personally would go with the Denon (only because I use and love Marantz and they are related AVRs) you cant go wrong with Denon
