ICU delirium is a real thing. Try to Keep your days and nights straight if possible. My mother passed of Lung Cancer She refused to quit smoking and went on her own terms. My father just got out of the hospital with Liver Cancer. Regarding pain killers - they will increase the potential for pneumonia. It doesn’t surprise me that they would tightly control their administration to you.
