I have read that rubber is a no no on hardwood, so luckily i have some left over felt from the underlayment. When time permits (hopefully Sunday) i will assemble my speaker rug and have this resolved. I will report back. Thanks for all the suggestions. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk How about this? A little pricey and smaller than the original at 5' x 7', but it is the one. Look very closely at the pattern. I have this in an 8' x 11' rug and another matching rug I picked up last year. https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-X-7-Red-Blue-Traditional-Persian-Kashan-Oriental-Area-Rug-Hand-knotted-Wool/262464059633

WMcD
The actual cone of silence refers to an artifact of the early radio navigation system which was really magnificent. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low-frequency_radio_range#Approaches_and_holds At a distance from the dual antennae, there were two signals which overlapped. The antenna did not radiate straight up and this region was called "the cone of silence." There is not much about this system in movies. However in the musical "South Pacific" there is a song "I'm gonna wash that man right out of my hair." Boyfriend - Girlfriend incompatibility is described as "if you fly on separate beams." Likely those are the beams of the aforesaid navigation system. WMcD

Unfortunately it is going in the other room. The runner that Menards sales resembles this quit a bit. When it comes in, I way take a picture of it. tigerwoodKhorns
Sweet rug. Have you looked into one of these yet (gotta keep warm): https://www.pendleton-usa.com/product/the-original-westerley-227898.html?rv=true&mrkgcl=846&mrkgadid=1497500877&adpos=1o2&creative=46149283332&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpJPPkueQ3wIVCdtkCh07hA79EAQYAiABEgL56vD_BwE This is a very good price. I got one for $220 last year and was happy to get if for that price. It is really warm, I wear it out all the time. They run large. I bought a medium and it seems to be a good fit.
