FYI - Hope is in a DRY COUNTY

Recommended Posts

Just want to make sure that for whoever is interested, please note that Hope is located in a DRY COUNTY.  Meaning, there are no liquor stores, nor do the grocery stores sell beer or wine.  If you are driving in, it is highly suggested that you bring in your own beverages to carry you through the weekend.

… o O (i'm still looking for a bottle of the reserve Woody Creek) … will buy 2 or 3 when I find some, plus an equal volume of olives... 750 ml = one gallon (from Texas)

Good luck.  The store that sells the regular Woody Creek couldn't get it for me.  I've heard that it's about twice the price of the regular also.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some apple pie.

She does have a decent cargo area with the rear seats folded down, and can get to her destination in prompt fashion!

Yes, fun car.

Yep!

In October I reluctantly traded my 2015 Golf TDI for the GTI.

As much as I LOVED the diesel, the new sportier drive is super fun, and I can't wait for summer to come back and get these bloody snow tires off!

I have a high performance down pipe coming, and with the JB4 I already have installed

I should be pulling about 275'sh HP vs the stock 220hp, :ohmy:

Go APR HFC downpipe, intake and stage 2 turn if you don't want to swap the turbo.   Hope you have an LSD and or decent front tires 😁.  My buddies named it the tire shredder while I had it. Haha. A quick little beast for what it was.   Still kicking myself for selling it....

If your route takes you through Little Rock or Texarkana, you can get reasonable (for Arkansas) prices on alcoholic beverages.

@Westcoastdrums If flying you will come into Texarkana. It is not dry there. Then short drive to Hope. It is legal to have liquor in your vehicle, unopened of course, for personal consumption on private property.

@HPower Come on down, bring Molson Canadian and Brador:)

@ssh posting simultaneously:)

I'll see if I can find another half gallon of Weller 12 again.
