USNRET Posted January 14, 2019 Share Posted January 14, 2019 During the window regulator install I found the front door speaker rotted out. I am looking for the factory Bose set. It is a 2003 Silverado Super Sport with 7 speaker Bose system. I am not keen on disassembling the interior to replace the factory amp. CECAA850 Posted January 14, 2019 Share Posted January 14, 2019 Mike. Even if you find a replacement, they'll have the same rot issue either immediately or if not now, very soon. Do the speakers have some sort of electronics incorporated into them or are they just a basic coaxial speakers? If they are, there's many options. USNRET Posted January 14, 2019 Author Share Posted January 14, 2019 AS is the way with Bose the amp has built in equalizer so none of the 6 (plus sub) are full range and I believe 2 ohm. I have a aftermarket Kenwood head unit with two adapter kits serving the amp/eq and steering wheel controls. I finally uncovered the part number 15054679 and just found some on the bay.
