DENNYOH
Hello all. I have a RW-12D SUBWOOFER attached to an onyko 7.2 THX certified receiver (model 707)? I have been unable to get musical sounds from this sub. I am currently using an old Klipsch KW-10 sub, which I like and find very musical. I am using a single RCA plug to the L/FE port. The sub looks beautiful, but I am so disappointed in the sound. Friends that listen to it agree. I read where one owner stuffed the cabinet with fiber glass. Can the port be closed off to create a sealed sub? I am a music graduate from Indiana University, currently living in Ohio. Any help would be appreciated. wuzzzer
Don't seal it. What crossover setting are you using? Phase? Output level?
Fish
Is it possible there is a defect? Just asking cause I have a couple. I use them with large speakers so musical is not a big concern. I use them for movies and effects. I would however not describe them as musical compared to an rsw or even some newer versions. But as Mark said settings and placement ?? Moderators dtel Posted January 31, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 31, 2019 I would bet it's what both posters guessed it's in the settings. There are enough settings to make any sub sound bad or dead if done wrong. You still out there
