Lost right channel on acrus amp?

According to the manual in the link, your amp has 6 internal fuses. More than likely one or two have blown.  Unplug it, let it sit for a time so that the capacitors have drained any charge, open it up and have a look see.

Those are the guys I will use if my Acurus amps take a dump.  Very reasonable price at $150.00 for A100X3.

I hope that is a local shop. By the time i paid shipping both ways and for the work i just as well throw it out and buy something else or sell it cheap local.  I really don't think i need that amp with my Paradigm Studio 60V5's.  My Pioneer Elite SC61 seems to be just as good as the amp was.   If i can find a local place to work on it then maybe i will fix it.

I get it, cost effectiveness.  If you decide to sell let me know.

Give @Youthman a shout.  I think he has used someone local to him in Plant City to repair a few things.

Thanks @willland

@CHASLS2, I used Jersey Jims in Clearwater to fix my Sherbourn amp when I had two channels that went bad.

When I had a Rotel amp, one of the 2 channels went quiet.  I read that it had fuses inside.  took a screw driver to the 8 screws and took off the top.  Inside, there were 2 fuses for each channel. pried the two off from the dead channel and saw that one was blown. Took it to Radio Shack, when it still existed, showed it to the guy, and he found the exact replacement. I think it cost a dollar. Popped the new fuse in and it worked fine ever after. It was my first amp fix and as of yet, my last.    I found a pic of the inside of an Acurus A250, with the top off.  If you zoom in a bit you will see the fuses on each side for the two channels. Of course, I'm not saying there can't be other underlying issues, but it might be worth a try, for fun.

I may get the shock of my life.  I just don't touch stuff like this.

I will be at the Outback in Planty city this Sunday around 8am. Our Corvette club meets there for a crusie and we leave at 9am.  I just don't see needed a amp anymore so i will sell it if someone wants it.

@CHASLS2 Hey Charles, how much are you wanting for it?  I have a friend in Alabama that has always wondered if a power amp would improve his front sound stage (although his room sounds amazing).  I would have to ship it to him.   Shoot me  a PM or send me a text.
