Why do I need a active crossover...[?]

A DSP crossover is the only way that you can achieve time alignment (tri-amping) of a 3-way Cornscala...short of moving the midrange horn/driver forward relative to the tweeter and woofer by ~15 inches.

Update on biamping my cornscalas. So I picked up a Lafler 9500 to power my woofers. I have a primaluna prologue 5  for the mid and tweeter. Also a ps audio stellar dac/ preamp. Everything sounds awesome. Really made a difference. I am going through the crossovers I got from Bob Crites.  Today I added a Schitt Loki  which really works great when I need it. All matches perfect. I’m done
