Comatose
Hi all, new to the forums, i've been eyeing the center speakers 440c and 404c but have concerns about the overall dimensions. Klipsch's site seems to indicate the 404c is actually smaller (width/depth), but i've seen conflicting info on other sites like Amazon etc. RP-404C 7.95” x 21.93” x 11.96” RP-440C 5.67” x 26” x 13.54” Are these 2 models really different in side? And if so, which one is actually smaller? Like many i've got depth constraints and worry about the unit not fitting.. If anyone actually owns either of these, i'd love to hear what the actual dimensions are. thanks in advance

Paducah Home Theater
I'd have to go unbox one in the warehouse, I don't have an open one on me, but I could do that if need be.
wvu80
Edit: I just checked Crutchfield and the height is listed at 5 3/4 inches. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_714RP404CE/Klipsch-Reference-Premiere-RP-404C-Ebony.html?awkw=554121901117&awat=pla&awnw=g&awcr=288741134049&awdv=c&awug=9009322&gclid=CjwKCAiA4t_iBRApEiwAn-vt-w_p_nYj51PsHMQLrXSH8WVwkB332EvytiXF-ItEcFjFIcVz46U-xRoCxmEQAvD_BwE @Chad can you check out the specs? It looks like the website has the wrong dimensions listed. https://www.klipsch.com/products/rp-404c-center-channel-speaker @MetropolisLakeOutfitters no need to open a box. It now appears as if the website has the wrong dimensions listed for the actual size of the speaker. +++ I have an RC-64 III with nearly 7" woofers and the overall height is right at eight inches. I just got out my ruler and measured. That RP-404C at 7.95" number doesn't look right to me. The box is very tight to those 4" woofers and I would guess the height is 6" at most.
glens
That product link currently has different dimensions listed than the spec sheet PDF link also in that page. I'd go with the PDF information in this case.

BernardLVH
Looks like Klipsch uses metric in their designs.
