jon91661
Almost done! Just waiting for my ALK extreme slope crossovers. Everything installed and just finished the black screens in the ports. Came out nice. I installed some crites cornscala crossovers I picked up a bit ago until the ALK's are done. I only installed about 4 screws in the back of each speaker so I could test them, and when i turned them up, it almost blew the backs off? lol! I thought I had blown the drivers but it was just the backs rattling. These B&C bass drivers put out prodigious amounts of air movement! They sound pretty incredible already, I can only imagine what they will sound like with Much better crossovers. I would venture to say that you would have to search far and wide for a pair of cornscalas of this magnitude? They turned out even better than I imagined. I will put up picks of the finished insides soon, as soon as I get the ALK crossovers. Good day to all.... 9
justinsweber
Which B&C driver was used on the LF. Als networks are designed for the expected inductance of a K33 or eminence 15C. Did he make some Modifications for your woofer? You might ask if you can send him the woofer to measure and recalculate the crossover part values. If it’s a cornsclawal network as it’s a lower order filter it maybe more forgive then his higher order networks.
jon91661
Yes, I gave him all the info. He is aware of my driver selection. He is building the crossovers accordingly. Thanks
Schu
Wow... those speakers look superb! Awesome skills sir. I've never ever wanted to own a cornscala hybrid, but I'd like those in a heart beat.

Shakeydeal
Beautiful work! Hopefully you will install a brace from front to back to keep that rear wall from flexing. That was one of the things that bothered me when I had cornscalas. Made some material sound boxy when you could hear the contribution from the cabinet. jon91661
No, this is the most heavily braced cabinet you will ever see, it was just that I only had the 4 corner screws in for testing, and no gascketing material installed yet. Once the screws are in which will number about 20 per speaker, this will not happen. Thanks
