DizRotus
I was compelled to “transition” from QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) for my business. The data tranfer occurred yesterday. QBD is no longer available to me. I must get up to speed on QBO ASAP. Any suggestions from those who use QBO — especially former QBD users — would be greatly appreciated. I see there are many YouTube tutorials, but many are worthless. Any links to worthwhile tutorials would be appreciated.
JJkizak
No help here but why would you want to put all of your data on the cloud? JJK
DizRotus
Because: it gets backed up constantly in several offsite locations; I no longer need to back it up weekly; it is updated continuosly regarding payroll, etc.; I no longer need to download updates; it is necessary to integrate with software I need to use in my business; desktop physical media QB is old technology that will soon go the way of CDs, etc.; and it is necessary to integrate with software I need to use in my business. Did I mention that last one twice? BTW data is not stored "on the cloud," it passes through the cloud (Internet) to be stored on physical servers in several locations. IMO, that is much safer than me backing up to an external hard drive; as well as more convenient. Carbonite has backed up my data via the cloud for years.
