NieceeAR
Help! My Heresy III bought this summer are great! They worked fine. I upgraded my receiver to an older McIntosh HRT100. I had to connect a Pre-Amp for the phono which I purchased new. Now I don't have any sound coming from ONE speaker. There is only one speaker with sound with a vinyl and CD. Suggestions? Very Frustrated! Thanks, Denise in Arkansas.
codewritinfool
Swap the speakers and see if it stays with the speaker.
Panelhead
Also check how you connect. The connections on some receivers are confusing. Check the balance control also. When you swap speakers if the same channel continues to play it is the receiver that is damaged. If the playing speaker moves channels it is the speaker. Peter P.
Can you post a photo of your equipment's connections? That would be a great help and the forum would likely solve your problem in a jiffy.
WillyBob
Agree with it most likely being a wiring prob. Hate to think it is the "new" equipment
avguytx
@NieceeAR So did you ever get it figured out? There's many simple steps to try if not. Switch speaker wires from one to the other will show if it's the speakers or amp, trying another amp will show if it's the new (old) amp or not, etc. Also, no clue what a Mcintosh HRT100 is. Google shows nothing.
