Deang
Right, and Best Buy shows Edwin as "no longer available." Looks like they ceased operations last summer. With that said, it would appear Amy still landed on her feet -- no surprise there. https://www.linkedin.com/in/amyunger

I bet Jill must be in upper-management at Klipsch. Reminds me of the Audi plant in Ghent (Belgium), where the factory workers' parking lot mostly is filled with Peugot and Citroen cars... while the management owns the big, fat Audis. Face it: Anniversary Edition Khorns are for lawyers, dentist, doctors and Klipsch managment. (I may get banned for this, I guess, on a Sunday!) Jill DID build a new room for her horns...Before she took them home. Yes, we get good pricing and MANY of us have product. Some, just view it as a job...Most have quite a passion for audio. You won't get banned...just corrected. This story is TRUE.

Moderators Travis In Austin Posted April 9, 2019 Moderators Share Posted April 9, 2019 Ok, got this thing going North again after many requests to reorient things from Members. I appologize in advance if something you mentioned in response to the the OT stuff got eliminated. If anyone still has a hankering for discussing CPI, aural accuity based on gender, age, etc. or anything else unrelated pleaae find an appropriate section and post away. So speaking of building a house, or buying one, so your Khorns will fit, and sound great, who knows the story about Sherman Fairchild build his townhome/mansion on the Upper East Side? The Klipsch Museum has correspondence between the to pioneers, one aviation, one audio, regarding what was fundamental in having them sound their best. Woofers and Tweeters
When I was designing my house, I spaced and placed windows and walls to have corners to accommodate Khorns. The contractor I hired to nail the sticks together thought I was a bit crazy for worrying about that. Good thing it was built before buying the MCM1900, it would confirm his thought of me.

Moderators dtel Posted April 9, 2019 Moderators Share Posted April 9, 2019 Years ago when we added on to the house we were also looking for our "last" speakers so just in case thinking it was going to be Khorns we put the back wall windows away from the corners enough to fit those speakers. Ended up a different route but was prepared if it were.' 'It's strange anytime I walk into a different house just out of habit I look to see how I would set up speakers in it, so I completely get picking a new house to fit speakers. Why would you not if this is something that makes you happy and a part of your life, it would be like loving to cook and picking a house with a terrible kitchen, who would do that? .

I do the same thing mostly out of habit, and did the same thing when renting or buying houses. Even did some slight remodeling to fit the Khorns in one place I had. Marvel
I have done that for the past 40 years, and I didn't have big speakers (although some would consider my JBL 4311s floor standers). One of the best places for those had a fireplace with deep book cases on each side, deep enough for them to look ok. They didn't need coupling to the floor to get bass, they were meant to be in wall or soffit mounted. They sounded great in that room. Would have liked to have compared them to Heresy speakers. It was also the first house purchase... the house payment was $104/month. Bruce
RSVRMAN
Good for her. I don’t think there’s anything odd or wrong about that at all. We’re currently house shopping again and it isn’t the 1st priority, but it is up there to have a certain sized room that will be dedicated for music/theater. When lots of homes have the corner windows or a fireplace in the center just like the house pictured in the video we cross it off.
mimalmo
We are also in the middle of purchasing our next home (sold the old house 11-18) and I've said "no" to LOTS of homes that didn't have good spaces for audio. I like the kitchen analogy someone else mentioned. I met Jill a couple times in the early 2000's when she was still relatively new to Klipsch. I was working in the CE industry back then and we crossed paths at a couple industry events. She's super down-to-earth and is passionate about her music. Congrats to Jill on her new home and speakers!
