rplace Posted April 12, 2019 Share Posted April 12, 2019 Is it my imagination or is it possible that a quad of EL34s is noisier in an amp quad kt88s? EL34 are PrimaLuna branded. KT88 are valve art. Schu Posted April 12, 2019 Share Posted April 12, 2019 I've not found it so... I've found that 88's are ever so slightly more hissy, but it's been by a small amount. rplace Posted April 12, 2019 Author Share Posted April 12, 2019 Agree the 88s are more in your face....but in a good way. I'm taking about slight noise when nothing playing.
