geezin'
While that is spectacular it's not available at any price. I'd like to add the Grand Seiko is a very under rated watch. Grail watch for me. My daily is a first gen Orange Monster. A beast of a watch.

At the jewelry store where I used to work I had a customer who was into Seikos. He had at least one Orange Monster and Grand Seiko. Really cool watches. He was into cars too so whenever he got a new car he'd stop by and we'd chat about watches and cars for an hour or two.

PatP
I miss wearing watches sometimes. Being a working stiff my cell is always in my pocket.

It is running about 60 sec ahead since then, which is 5 sec a month. This is about average accuracy what I get from several budget quartz wristwatches I stil keep. parlophone1
I took a chance with my first Citizen. What initiated my interest in those is the battery drive supplemented with solar power, so the Eco-Drive is here. We will see about longevity, but these tend to run 10-20 years without a battery change if properly maintained. 43mm looks a bit large on my wrist, but clean design and black color make it look smaller.

wuzzzer
It’s funny revisiting this thread. After spending nearly 20 years as a Rolex timepiece specialist I don’t even wear a watch anymore in my “new life”. Before, I felt like I wasn’t fully dressed if I left the house without a watch on.
rplace
Drinks on the deck yesterday evening, with the spring sun low in the sky, powered up the Omega's lume. I'd take this over a cell phone any day
parlophone1
Mine Eco-Drive does not have the lume nearly as good as Omega, but it is nice in its own way. In reality it is more green than blue, it is the camera.

OO1
Seiko Spring Drive is the most precise movement , period when Spring Drive was released , Seiko invited ETA Specialists to Japan all expenses paid to tear the movement apart and rebuild it , only a handful of Seiko's technicians were able to do the task .
