He made it for his scott integrated. My guess is he purchased a big piece, cut to size with tin snips, then carefully folded where he wanted the edges. It's the reddit effect, where people often won't see something posted on a subreddit, so content is cross-posted a ridiculous amount of times in order to increase visibility and karma.
