So the Klipsch R112SW is on sale at $399 and I am looking for a good 12 inch sub for my system, however I have heard that the amp gives out after a few months and I is faulty. So My question is should I take a chance with the R-112SW or go with the R-120SW or the older version R-12SW? 112sw has a max 600W amp while the other two have a 400W amp. Anirban Posted August 27, 2019 Share Posted August 27, 2019 I have had the R-112SW for little more than a year now and works fine. I just added another one since its on sale right now. Hoping they last long. I really treat them well and stay within limits Sometimes I do touch the amp panel and check the temperature, I don't find them hot at all and nothing that should melt the glue inside (Black goo of death) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Anirban Posted August 29, 2019 Share Posted August 29, 2019 I had raised a support request with Klipsch and got a reply yesterday. They stated all is well with the current batches of R-112SW.
