I would consider an offer to buy part of a transaction.  You wouldn't?

The intent of that was concerning the discussion of "past" transactions I suspect. Simply offering an item for sale in this forum is "discussing" under your the definition you just presented. There is no rule against an "offer" per se as in this thread. I really don't see the damage in it personally, but I liked the BS forum. :)

Discussing the item for sale is fine and encouraged as long as it's not defamatory.  Discussions pertaining any part of the sale price or transaction is not.  That's my interpretation.  Normally it prevents open conflict in the for sale thread which is ultimately what we're after.

 

Yes, the BS forum was entertaining.  Appropriate on a speaker forum was questionable.
