Arno
I have a pair of Cornwalls. I understand they were called Cornwall IIs due to the vertical components. I can't find the speaker serial numbers, but the components are: K-33-J woofers (#1186 & 1191) 220119 on rim K55V midranges (#2050 and 2040) with K-1000 horns K77 tweeters (#110 & 111) I understand that the code on the rim dates the woofer to 1961. I bought them used in 1983. I replaced the grill cloth, removed the paint, and stained them. Otherwise, i believe that everything is original and pretty much in perfect shape. I'm asking $900 for the pair.
Emile
Not sure "what" they were called, but definitely not "II" series. (EDIT: OK; I was corrected ... see posts below.) For a Cornwall history, see ...
Montego
I have Cornwall II 'verticals'. I was told they are 1967 but I'm not sure.
Endo
^^ There was an early II, and a much later II -- similar nomenclature, different variants, and decades apart from each other. [Edit] It was an "Ask the Historian" post (5/17) that clarified this for me.
opusk2k9
Also, the original looked like a shorthorn: * By 1981 it was forgotten that the “original Cornwall II” occurred in 1963 when the K-1000 horn was replaced with the K-600 horn. Same thing with the Heresy, so we have had two II’s in both models! https://www.klipsch.com/cornwall-history

lone-wolf
Can you post a pic with the grills off? I'm probably wrong but it doesn't look like there is a port in the photo with the back panel off.
