tonygeno
Just got a new Heresy iii to use as a center channel between Cornwall iiis and noticed that the woofer is mounted with only four screws. Is this normal? Thanks.
moray james
two sets of H3 here, both sets had eight wood screws which I changed over to machine screws and steel inserts. Also had a pair of late Heresy (some months prior to the H2) those had eight wood screws on each woofer.
tonygeno
Thanks. I will call Klipsch today and see what’s up.
tonygeno
I spoke with Klipsch customer support today. They said that the new Heresys have the four screws attaching the woofer. I also checked out a video on the Capitol Anniversary Heresy on Youtube and that too only had four screws. So all is well.
glens
Well evidently four each are deemed sufficient. But even though twice the material / labor cost (ha!), eight would be better. Perhaps they'll send you eight more of the screws they use along with a recommendation for the pilot drill size without affecting your warranty?
