oldtimer
Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, 558 U.S. 310 (2010), is a landmark United States Supreme Court case concerning campaign finance. The Court held that the free speech clause of the First Amendment prohibits the government from restricting independent expenditures for political communications by corporations, including nonprofit corporations, labor unions, and other associations. Associate Justice John Paul Stevens argued that Court's ruling represented "a rejection of the common sense of the American people, who have recognized a need to prevent corporations from undermining self government. Senator Mitch McConnell commended the decision, arguing that it represented "an important step in the direction of restoring the First Amendment rights". Later rulings by the Roberts Court, including McCutcheon v. FEC (2014), would strike down other campaign finance restrictions. The ruling had a major impact on campaign finance, allowing unlimited election spending by corporations and labor unions and fueling the rise of Super PACs. Not sure what's relevant about Google's 99% biased employees (Including Sergei) leaning left and controlling and censoring the Conservative viewpoints. They even put the 10 Commandments in the Pornography category because of "thou shalt not kill" because it's about murder. They are a MONOPOLY, but it will be a while before the lazy Congress does anything about it.

It came back to bite everyone in the ***! Gee what a surprise. Turtle head really loved it. Hopefully you will see the irony.

Oh wait, success is OK if they are on your side. This is why I am a dedicated independent. Party before country is disgusting the crap out of me. I was one of the first here to state that facebook was evil. I have never been associated with it and I wont be in the future. " But....oh it has connected me with so many people from my past..." ClaudeJ1
I'm sorry I posted this, but I really like Dennis Prager's videos. Geez, and I though I was being politically neutral. I'm a Libertarian after all. I doubt that any with the harsh comments even watched it, which makes me care even less. 2

Moderators dtel Posted July 19, 2019 Moderators Share Posted July 19, 2019 Can this really happen or was it just by chance, didn't seem like it. My son in law and daughter came by this evening to pick up some signs I made for him for his business. He had his phone on him and his Facebook app was not turned off and it was in his pocket. We were talking about the paint I used, Rust-Oleum for the signs. We sit down and was talking and about 10 minutes thenr he took out his phone and looked at it and it was an add for the same paint we talked about. He looked up kind of shocked and said can Facebook be listening to me I have not looked up this paint and have not seen an add like this on here before? I don't know since I am not on Facebook or use a phone, can this happen? .

Gilbert
I'm sorry I posted this, but I really like Dennis Prager's videos. Geez, and I though I was being politically neutral. I'm a Libertarian after all. I doubt that any with the harsh comments even watched it, which makes me care even less. I appreciated the video, and I did fast forward to Mr. Epstein. I didn't hear anything that I didn't already realize or come to understand. I can't stand Ted Cruz, but good God he's atleast made something of his life vs DumbassBETO. That that race was as close as it was is disgusting. Kinda like the 2016 elections. "That said" I think it's safe to say that the vast majority of people have their minds made up on how they're going to vote. The most outspoken people claiming to be politically neutral are most certainly not, you only need to read the consistency of their statements regarding anything related to politics. The "anything" is/are their points of interest. I haven't voted Blue since Carter. When I look back, I realize now as I did then, that he was/is a good man, a good person, but later I also saw him as an innocent bafoon. I'm an old dog or getting to be an older dog, don't see myself voting for anything but Red anymore, if at all. I'm pretty disgusted with it all, politics that is. The only thing I care about beyond my family is a good economy. What that means to the country goes without saying, but I'm more concerned with how it affects my children, because I think they are not going to be career politicians. My eldest leaves the nest for the first time in August, the other is 2 yrs behind. Both are straight "A" highschoolers, both want to be doctors, infatuated with the idea of helping people.... silly girls. Go get'em girl.
