You can just send your old ones to Bob, he will update and return. Saves a little $ and he turns them around real quick.

It will have not effect on the resale price. It will have an impact on your listening experience. The museum already has an all original pair, anyone buying them will want to listen to them.

The value of your speakers will be enhanced by replacing the caps.  Send your old crossovers to Mr. Crites and he will do a fine job.
