Cmomerak
I have a set of heresy 2’s that I’ve had for a while and finally blew the woofer out of one, I was wondering if anyone has had any problems using newer woofers or has any suggestions on replacements? Anything is appreciated sorry if I’m in the wrong group, don’t shoot the new guy!
wuzzzer
Sometimes there's used ones on eBay. I believe Bob Crites (www.critesspeakers.com) sells aftermarket replacement woofers. If you go that route it would be best to replace both of them at the same time.
JohnA
The Heresy III woofer is supposed to be both replacement and upgrade.
DizRotus
A reputable tech can recone your woofers. I recently had the EV woofers in my HIPs reconed for $105 each. With the H2 woofers, I’d consider Crites replacements.

If you use Heresy III woofers in a Heresy II you have to make changes to the crossover. The impedance is different. They will sound boomy if you don't.
