avguytx
Man, that's a long time to wait. I think you should just leave wherever you're at and head home to make sure the new amp is good to go. Come on....head out. Now. 1
Emile
OK; replacement amp installed. Played Grofe's Grand Canyon Suite, "Cloudburst," WITH thunderstorm effects. Think it was impressive ... but still have to dial the sub in. Haha ... sub is NOT in the closet yet - wife is out of town for a couple of days "Cloudburst" (w/o thunderstorm effects) below

Have to run some more experiments before you can have it Played some various classical music and it seemed to be an improvement, but wasn't sure since the CF-3's dig fairly deep OK; switched to a Santana compilation CD ... JEEZ ... heard these strange sounds ... our washer and dryer and all cabinets in the next room were shaking Windows in the stereo room were vibrating, but no "extra" sounds. Haha, were getting new hurricane windows anyhow ... think those can take a beating. But ... had to turn the sub down a bit OK; put it 3/4 way in the closet ... still sounds good Volume really seems to come straight from the woofer and the slot 1
billybob
Yes thinking that you may be liking sub by the time you get tweaking in done with time...those subsonic can really test an environment... cool...😊

SWL
With a sub.....less is more when it's dialed in right. In the process of getting it dialed in you'll probably have to run it on the hot side to get an idea of what it's doing but in the end you want to go easy on the gain.Stuff vibrating in or adjacent to the room will be counterproductive no doubt. Location of the sub is key. Congrats on the sub!Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk 1
DirtyErnie
You'd be surprised how much cleaner your CF3's (any speaker, really, especially ported ones) will sound if you can cross them to 50Hz+ and run all the lower stuff through the sub. Getting all that wasted cone motion & port delay/slop out of your sound makes a huge difference.
