avguytx
Worlds fastest electric car? Man, where's the Porsche engine sound?? Cool video, though.
MEH Synergy
Thanks for sharing. If Tesla had come along further and not had many of the problems of their newer "affordable" model, I would have been a buyer. For now, I'll stick with the German suck gas (burn oil) and haul ***.
haydukej
Can't afford an S, but I've loved my model 3 (dual motor) for a year now. *Note, Elon is not omitted from the marketing hype camp either.
Dave1290
I would soooooo NOT have a license in that. Thanks for the post! Great watch!
CECAA850
I get the performance aspect of it, trust me I do but I rue the day that you go to the drag strip and the fastest cars sound like ceiling fans. 1 4

I think the closest I'll ever come to either of those will be a Hoveround.

That's exactly what I thought.... nothing like a loud menacing rumble behind your head, or in front.... either way is great.
Gilbert
My dream car..... unfortunately with one in college and another in 2 years Dad's gotta wait a lot longer than hoped. Sin you can't get it in a manual, but dual clutch is good too, i guess. https://www.motor1.com/news/359582/next-porsche-911-gt3-video/
Emile
Interesting video ... just not sure I am ready for these electric cars yet Have driven 1000HP Porsche 917's and the amazing 962's around several Florida tracks ... just amazing ... need to hear a "real" engine and feel it's power. Missing the "real men, real machines" period in car racing. In the seventies, one out of every 10 Formula 1 drivers used to get killed ... sad, but to me it beats the current racing scene. Very save, but missing "real balls."
Moderators dtel Posted August 27, 2019 Moderators Share Posted August 27, 2019 It was very strange watching to just hear the wind and the tires when they begin to break loose and nothing else.

When I lived in Tampa, I use to drive to Sebring every year and camp with some buddys'. We'd all skip out of Friday from school and head to the track. I've driven a couple of prepared Shelby's, but that's it. Loved that thunderous rumble, to call it addicting falls short. Makes my heart pound. I don't know about that real balls comment, but I know what you mean about race cars being safer.... but that's a good thing. As much as crashes get my attention, I don't like to see anyone get killed.

Usually, the "big guys," like "Gunner Racing" (they used to run several 962's in IMSA ... partially build a 962 replica for me ... haha; ran out of money ) showed up and if you got lucky you got to drive one. Good memories
wuzzzer
Reminds me of my Gran Turismo days. After driving that track hundreds of times in a video game it would be awesome to experience it in real life.

JJkizak
Gee, now you have to take your car to a mechanic, electrician, and an electronics technician to get it repaired. JJK
