boom3
Don Keele worked with Newman at Electrovoice and with PWK at K&A so I feel pretty confident that they met through Keele or at a convention

JRH
Keele worked for about a year at K&A in 1977. Don is now an advisor to KHMA. I have yet to see direct evidence that Paul corresponded with Ray Newman, but I'm virtually certain that he did. There was a long-standing positive relationship between EV and K&A. "For one year, starting in 1976, he worked for Klipsch and Associates in Hope, Arkansas, as chief engineer involved in the company's commercial line of loudspeakers." http://www.xlrtechs.com/dbkeele.com/
moray james
Thanks Edgar: is there any record of products that Don was responsible for? I know he took a look at the Cornwall and told PWK that it was pretty much done like dinner and to leave well enough alone it was not broken and did not need fixing. I asked him about it once, a long time ago, but I do not remember his answer. (I met Keele while we were both working at Altec Lansing / EV back in the mid 1990s.) JRH
Keele was responsible for the MTM piezo tweeter array. I suspect he had a hand in the HIP. His AES paper, What's so Sacred About Exponential Horns, caused a little "friction".
billybob
There was some collaboration PWK did with the design of the EV Aristocrat speakers if remember what I read correctly...
JRH
EV paid PWK royalties on the Aristocrat, Georgian, Patrician designs, and possibly other models. EV was one of the relatively few audio companies that Paul had a decades-long positive relationship.
