Do My Upgraded DeanG AA Crossovers Care About or...

Recommended Posts

.... impact which tweeters I use with my Belles?

I'm considering two different upgrades to Bob's CT125's.

It depends. Sensitivity higher than 105 - 106dB, and you will need an L-pad.

Dean, what’s an l-pad?

A constant-impedance volume control for the driver.  That way the crossover functionality doesn't change with level adjustment.

Ha ha. A little bit of Piggyback today. I did some Booker's 2019-03 last night. My answers don't change, just the way I deliver them. 🙂

These are modified Belles with  Crites A-55-G drivers, Crites CT-125's  (currently) and the XO's you built a few years ago for  member Joshnich Belles. I don't think I've altered the speakers sensitivity unless any of the aforementioned swap outs would have some how done so? I'm looking at Crites 120's and/or the MAHL horn and B&C-120's as potential changes. Never stop improving or teaching an old dog speaker new tricks.
