Klipsch Tape Reissues

Last week I did another DVD-Audio disc search.  Spent hours looking at bands I'd never heard of, reading reviews of the recordings mostly in any format other than DVD-A and bought 2.  The first is truly a gem!  Its the Klipsch Tape Reissues, Vol II.  The Joe Holland Band is recorded live.  The DVD-A version is breathtakingly real.  Ear Candy for a jazz lover!  It's dynamic.  The cymbals are perfection. Skin drum heads.  Air sounds with the clarinet.    All those evenings in bars listening to the real thing quickly come to mind, especially parts of Naw'lins.

Sit back with your favorite evening beverage and enjoy!

I have one or 2 SACDs.  Don't hear anything special.  24/96 DVD-A is about equal to my Thorens with AT OC9 moving coil.  24/192 DVD-A will just best it.

I have it also, as soon as it became available. The 1957 recording is SUPERB
